Routing tips
Send a Document to a Fax Number in Minutes
No fax machine? No problem. NeedToFax lets you enter any fax number, pay a small fee, and watch the delivery happen.
Make sure the fax number is correct
Faxes still rely on traditional telephone routing. Always confirm the country and area code before you upload your file. NeedToFax accepts digits, spaces, and parentheses, then we sanitize the number before dialing.
If you routinely send to the same destination, store that number in your password manager so you can copy-paste without typos.
Workflow for sending to any fax number
- Enter the fax number exactly as provided. Add a cover note if the recipient expects context.
- Upload your PDF or image. We show an estimated page count plus the $1-per-ten-pages cost.
- Approve the payment and watch the confirmation modal. We keep retrying if the receiving machine is busy and show status in real time.
If the number changes
- Many offices list separate numbers for local and toll-free. Use whichever the recipient prefers.
- If the recipient migrates to email or portal uploads, keep NeedToFax bookmarked for the cases where fax is still required.

NeedToFax dials the number for you, handles retries, and provides proof of delivery.
